Hello

Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my blog.  This blog is dedicated to the day to day living with Trisomy 18.  For those that are not familiar with Trisomy 18 (aka Edwards Syndrome), here is a wonderful link to Trisomy 18 foundation that has a very detailed explanation of what Trisomy 18 is.
I am a mother of a trisomy 18 girl.  My daughter is almost 2 years old now.  As a result, my blog is more about the everyday joys, challenges, health and therapy issues that our family goes through.  Since this is my first post, I will not write much today.  I will be putting more details and pictures on this blog as time goes on in order to keep friends and family updated, and to help new friends and internet surfers that might be going through a similar lifestyle.  As a parent of a trisomy 18, I have found that there is a significant shortage of information to guide us as we raise these children with unique needs.  I hope this will be a useful resource for information, support and inspiration to other parents in similar situations.
My attitude is that life is what you make it.  We all face challenges in life.  Some days are better than others.  When I'm down, I sit back and remind myself to count my blessings.  As a family, we feel very blessed.

Meet our baby girl!
